Hi I’m Big Sam. I work as a logistics coordinator by day and night, but when I get the privilege of taking holidays, I like to see as much of Australia as I possibly can, and to enable this, I have a 4WD. I have been setting up my 4WD for the last 6 years, and will probably still be changing and modifying for many more.

I love to travel, and was born into it to a certain degree, with all of our family holidays being four wheel drive adventures around Australia, times that I have fond memories of. I am a third generation transport operator, with myself, my father and his father being involved in trucks in some form. I drove trucks for 7 years myself, and now work in an office organising our fleet and their movements. I still look forward to any driving I am able to do, whether it be a forklift, truck or car.
I really do love to travel anywhere I can go, and will take any route to get there. I once read a quote “For my part, I travel not to go anywhere, but to go. I travel for travel’s sake. I don’t necessarily travel to get anywhere, meet anybody, see anything or do anything as much as I just love to travel, and if I travel with my work or in recreation, it really does not matter to me.
I have decided to write to share my experiences with whoever would like to know what I have been up to, where I have been and where I am planning to go.
